From the very first customer till date.. I still remember it, like it was yesterday..


I still remember it, like it was yesterday. The no brand tag, the tentative appeal, the awkward approach, the concealed nervousness, the over enthusiast me, the vision to make a mark on the world, the will to succeed amidst triumphs, the outburst of emotions, the over flow of words, the immature in the mature me all acted against and in favor to obtain my maiden order. It’s been a long time but as said earlier, I still remember it, like it was yesterday.


Today if I am to define the above expressed emotions would be termed in the corporate world as “Know your customer to secure business”, and what it implies is that to succeed as an entrepreneur, one must know their customer and what they want as it is the key to success. It also means to spend time doing some grassroots marketing and talking to the customers before starting the business, and continuously solicit their feedback after that. Mere implementing the above methods will pave way for a stronger and long lasting customer relationship.


While we are doing the research, one must make sure to analyze the competition, as many entrepreneurs think they don’t have any competitors but this is not the case, as we have direct and indirect competitors. Absolutely anything can become a successful business if it provides real value to the end users of the product or service.


After I sold my first bag, I got a glowing report that it was the best bag she ever purchased. Andrea Castro purchased a travel bag and is the very first customer of Delphi Leather. Ask any business venture, irrespective of the time period and their clientele, most if not all will remember the name of their very first customer who acted as a pivot for the company to venture in the corporate world of endless opportunities.


Delphi Leather relation with their clientele is of the magnitude which cannot be expressed properly as our equation is such that it is an undeclared territory of personal and professional relationship with no onus on proportion. We are a corporate house and it's through curiosity and looking at opportunities in new ways that we've always mapped our path. Seeing an opportunity when no one else can is often the beginning of a business and just when you think your business can't grow any more, a new opportunity can elevate you to the next level of success.


Coming back to Delphi’s maiden voyage in the corporate domain would like to add that Miss Andrea Castro is still our valued customer who holds onto our Brand image with utmost pride and passion with constant orders, be it the one from our catalog or the one she designed and we executed as a bespoke product. Over the years our relation with our clientele has strengthen and our equation balanced as we hear our customer ideas, give our feedback and process the imagery of the product to ascertain that the designing, detailing and craftsmanship is such that the appeal of the product is an instant satisfaction point for the customer.
